My name is Nastja, I come from a very small, yet beautiful country, called Slovenia (oftenly mistaken for Slovakia). I used to live in a small town near Italy, but later moved to Ljubljana where I was given the chance to work at a health & wellness club. It all started with me having to change my not-so-good eating habits and becoming (as we like to call it) a better version of myself.
For me it was never really about losing weight – I wanted to change the ratio between my fat and muscle mass. But with that, there were also other changes – the thing that means the most to me is waking up feeling refreshed and rested, instead of feeling and looking like I was hit by a bus. Also, my muscles stopped hurting after workouts and I have (as my friends like to say) way too much energy. I am still in the process of learning and I plan on learning my whole life.
That is what initially made me want to write a blog. As I have grown, I realized I want to do so much more – as time passed by, the posts have gotten less and less often and suddenly there was no more posting. Almost 2 years later, being almost a chef at this point, I was sitting on the couch with my fiance and said I wish I could read through my memories and remember the feeling I had. He suggested a travel journal. I thought of my blog – not only it is a nice reminder for me, but hopefully something can inspire YOU.
